SML Masters degrees
A unique set of Master’s degrees in France
The Marine and Coastal Sciences training area is unique in France. According to its disciplinary fields, each program covers different aspects of Marine and Coastal Sciences: Biotechnology, Biology, Environmental Management, Applied Economics, Law of Maritime Spaces and Activities, Earth, Planet and Environmental Sciences, Marine Environmental Chemistry, Physics. The programs are backed by the research laboratories of the IUEM and its partners (CNRS, IRD, Ifremer, SHOM, Cedre, CEREMA, ENSTA, IMT Atlantique, ENIB, Ecole Navale). They offer the best teaching conditions to train the future professionals who will be experts in their disciplines and capable of establishing collaborations between natural sciences (ecologists, geochemists, biologists and geologists) and society (geographers, lawyers, economists). The programs are fully integrated in the ISBlue graduate school.

Internationalization
The SML Master’s degrees focus on interdisciplinarity in the field of Marine Sciences, but also on internationalization by welcoming international students, supporting incoming and outgoing mobility and specific actions.
Professional integration
The SML Master’s degrees implements actions to help the professional integration of its students.
Continuing education
The SML Master’s degrees offer the framework for continuing education “at sea” from UBO to IUEM and offer a complete catalogue.

How to apply?
Most learning paths use the application site E-candidat. You can already create your candidate profile there. Applications will be available in April, according to a schedule specific to each learning path.
