Substances naturelles marines: D’une manière générale, je m’intéresse aux substances naturelles d’origine marine et aux organismSponges of Polynesiaes dont elles proviennent pour une meilleure compréhension du vivant, mais également dans l’objectif de les valoriser que ce soit en santé humaine, en aquaculture, ou dans d’autres secteurs, en réponse à des problématiques locales et/ou des pays du Sud et contribuer par ailleurs, à l’émergence de nouveaux axes de développement économique.

Les différentes recherches que j’entreprends au sein de mon équipe, s’intègrent dans un projet global mené depuis plusieurs années avec ma collègue Cécile Debitus, ayant pour thème « Biodiversité et substances marines du Pacifique sud ». Il est question d’une part de parfaire les connaissances de la faune et de la flore des récifs coralliens du Pacifique sud et d’autre part de rechercher de nouveaux principes actifs naturels contre différentes pathologies (humaines ou aquacoles), ou à valoriser économiquement.

Cantharella: un outils dédié à l’étude des substances naturelles: Avec Adrien CheypCantharellae (ingénieur du pôle informatique scientifique, IRD Nouméa), et par la suite avec la société Code Lutin, nous avons développé le système d’information (SI) Cantharella. Cet outil de travail collaboratif accessible via internet de manière sécurisée, est dédié aux travaux sur les substances naturelles quelle qu’en soit l’origine. Il permet de capitaliser, pérenniser et partager de manière contrôlée les données entre collaborateurs d’un projet, mais également d’effectuer une restitution auprès des territoires et pays d’où proviennent les organismes étudiés dans le cadre de la démarche d’APA (Accès et Partage des Avantages).  De nouveaux développements ont été effectués en 2022 (société Code Lutin, financement IRD dept OCEANS) offrant de nouvelles fonctionnalités aux utilisateurs (fonctions  d’imports de données, SIG, amélioration de la gestion de droits…). Le logiciel est diffusé gratuitement sous licence libre (HAL-01887126).

04/11/2022 – Au revoir à l’ALIS

« Comme pour beaucoup d’entre nous, l’Alis et son équipage tiennent une place particulière dans notre cœur, tant de rencontres, de tranches de vie partagées et d’explorations au fin fond du Pacifique.  En ce qui me concerne, c’est à son bord que j’ai effectué ma première campagne océanographique en 2007 à Fidji, avec Claude, Jean-Louis, John et Greg… toute une aventure !

Des anecdotes il y en aurait tant à raconter… Je retiendrai de ce navire, sa convivialité, sa cuisine toujours au top pour soutenir le moral des troupes, et la faculté qu’il a eu toutes ces années de nous téléporter vers d’autres civilisations, d’autres paysages terrestres et sous-marins en parallèle de nos recherches sur les invertébrés marins… avec de nombreux coups de cœur que ce soit pour les Marquises, Rapa ou encore Wallis…
