A Valorisation Award for Valerie Stiger-Pouvreau

During Research Week in March, the 2025 Valorisation Awards ceremony organised by UBO and ENIB took place. On this occasion, our colleague Valérie Stiger-Pouvreau was given the Transition Award.
This distinction, accompanied by a €1,000 prize for LEMAR, recognises her work in the chemical ecology of marine plants, particularly in the context of the SAVE-C, RIV-ALG and RIV-AGE 2.0 projects. In collaboration with the University of Nantes and the companies Tech Nature and Novéal (a subsidiary of L’Oréal), Valérie filed a patent in 2019 for photoprotective extracts for sun protection, which was subsequently accepted in 2022.
