Contamination of seafood products by cadmium, chromium, mercury and lead in Morocco.
Revue de Medecine Veterinaire, 143(1):49–56.
Cadmium, chromium, mercury and lead contamination of seafood products has been evaluated near Moroccan coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, on 504 fishes from 62 species, sampled near Tanger, Tetouan, Al Hoceima and Nador. The measured concentrations are slightly higher than those published in other countries but they are still under the threshold concentrations for human consumption. Moreover, no significant differences were observed on samples collected in different geographical areas and on species collected in different seasons.
