Task 8
The strength of this task is to combine three complementary categories of actors: i) scientists themselves, initiators of the communication process and producing the scientific material, ii) the Communication and Scientific Mediation Service of IUEM (task leader), associating specific skills and proximity to the scientific laboratories.
This task aims to provide easily identifiable sources of scientific information accessible to the non-scientific public regarding HABs and shellfish contamination. It does not attempt to provide a substitute for communication action from agencies responsible for environmental or health monitoring, but hopes to bring to the different publics a few elements of scientific culture: state of the art on knowledge of the topic, understanding of scientific and societal context, discovery of "ongoing research."
Visite de collégiens de 3ème du collège Kérichen le 5 décembre 2014 dans le cadre d'un projet de découverte des métiers de la mer « Les jeunes et la mer ». Lors de cette journée, en plus de la visite les collégiens ont réalisé des interviews afin de réaliser une émission-reportage sur les métiers de la recherche et les algues toxiques (point 2 ci-dessous).
