The CRPCC (Centre for Research in Psychology, Cognition and Communication - EA 1285), from the Université de Bretagne Occidentale (UBO) & Université Rennes 2 is directed by Jaques Juhel. The UBO responsible is Adeline Raymond. This research team (EA 1285) includes professor-researchers in cognitive psychology, developmental psychology and social psychology. The research team of social psychology CRPCC - UBO focuses on understanding of common sense in contemporary society and its approach follows the social representation theory originally proposed by Serge Moscovici. This work aims to understand the current society by analyzing the content of common knowledge in specific social groups and the processes that underlie the construction of such knowledge. Therefore, they are part of a dual dynamic perspective: a study of the dynamics of social representations and of consequential group dynamics. Among these works, some research focuses more specifically on studying the relationship between humankind and environment (social and environmental psychology), including the study of risks in connection with issues such as climate change, sustainable development and water resources.
