SOCIAL REPRESENTATIONS LINKED TO PRODUCTION AND CONTAMINATION OF OYSTERS

This task focuses on the representation and the governance of risks related to production and/or consumption of oysters. Specifically, it will analyze how to translate scientific statements and uncertainties, both in public policy (legal issues) and in common sense (psycho-social issues). Our attention will focus on the particular case of PST assimilation by diploid and triploid oysters. The aim is to understand how individuals or groups (political-administrative institutions, producers, consumers ...) perceive risk (or not) and how this translates into practical terms.
