After beginning my scientific career in biomedical research as a microscopist, I mooved to marine science to explore the dynamics of oceanic ecosystems. In January 2025, I successfully defended my Ph.D., which focused on the fragmentation of marine snow in the mesopelagic zone and its implications for the biological carbon pump.
My current research continues along this trajectory, bridging the study of carbon export, particle properties, and fragmentation processes to better understand their role in marine biogeochemical cycles.
