Area of expertise : theoretical ecology, plankton ecology, trophic interactions, trait adaptation, phytoplankton adaptation, phytoplankton diversity, parasites in plankton food webs.
Research theme : As a part of the project BLIC – Blooms Like it Colorful, I investigate how phytoplankton diversity influences bloom bloom dynamics. Specifically for my studies, the diversity is expressed in term of different life strategies, characterised by their maximum growth rate, minimum resource requirement, and carrying capacity.
Previous work experience : From 2018-2025, I was a PhD student and postdoc in theoretical ecology group led by Sabine Wollrab at The Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB), Germany. I theoretically investigated roles of fungal parasites in freshwater plankton community (mycoloop food web).
