During the period of mobility, we investigated topics related to fisheries biology and management.
During this mobility Albertino Martins worked with Eric Dabas (IRD, IUEM) on the cut and analysis of otoliths (small pelagic). We also discussed the possibility for Eric Dabas to come to Cape Verde for capacity building and launch a laboratory of sclerochronology.
Participation in different conferences and workshops, highlighting the workshop on “Socio-ecosystems, territories and strategies management”, « Water quality, land use and health: a transdisciplinary approach rooted in the community » and « Contributions of law and economics to the analysis of ecological compensation ». and “Economic growth, international trade, and the depletion or conservation of renewable natural resources” and on EU and the sea, 60 years after the Rome treaty both organized by the Mixed Research Units (UMR) Centre for Law and Economics of the Sea AMURE. These were particularly interesting as we work on the recommendations for policy makers in Cape Verde on the subject of fisheries biology and stock assessment.
Thanks the UBO library, we had the opportunity to research a great variety of documents and thesis. The bibliographical research was mainly directed to aquaculture, fish reproductive biology and population dynamics.
