Biography

Alciany da Luz is a marine biologist of National Institute for Fisheries Research and Development (INDP) in Cape Verde, since April 2011. She is bachelor (2009) and graduated (2010) in Marine Biology and fisheries in the University of Cape Verde (Uni-CV), Department of Engineering and Marine Sciences (DECM), São Vicente Islands, Cape Verde. Currently she is post-graduate student in Oceanography and Marine Resource Management, with interest in aquaculture, this course is the result of a partnership UNICV, INDP and Campus do Mar (Spain).

As a technician of the INDP, she works with projects for aquaculture, fish conservation and transformation, species conservation mainly marine turtles, fishery biology.
