The aim of this PhD is to exploring the pearl oyster Pinctada radiata as an extreme marine environment asset and uncovering its cellular adaptation mechanisms. To achieve this, a multidisciplinary approach is employed, integrating detailed morphological characterization of diverse oyster populations, histopathological assessments, and cytogenetic profiling. Furthermore, complementary omics analyses, including proteomics and metabolomics, are conducted to elucidate seasonal and site-specific variations in cellular responses and adaptive mechanisms
