Chefs de mission / chiefs scientist

This secondment contributed to the PADDLE project by bringing an expertise on physical processes to be incorporated in interdisciplinary studies (Tasks 2.2 and 2.4) in the ocean along the Brazilian coast, where physical, biogeochemical and biological in-situ and model data are analysed. These multidisciplinary data, in turn, are crucial for MSP (Marine Spatial Planning), as they give information on fish diversity and stocks, their food and their environmental condition. Her research on the Amazon Shelf contributes to the task T2.4, where new models and new in-situ data will be gathered.

She also participated in the reinforcement of capacity building by organizing a specific training (1 week) on how to measure the ocean mixing which is a critical process for ecosystems in the ocean, and by giving lectures (2 days) to students at UFPE.
