The work consisted in interacting with the colleagues from the University Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE) and the University Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE) to develop an integrated spatialised approach to obtain key ecosystem information for Marine Spatial Planning (WP2). Specific activities:

  • integration of available data from satellite data: Bathymetry, SST, Primary production, Landsat imagery and conversion of geographic layers in grids (1km*1km), task 2.3;

  • integration of available data from geographic data: Shoreline, coastal human activities and conversion of geographic layers in grid (1km*1km), task 2.3;

  • development of a methodology to collect fishing effort on small scale fisheries and human activities based on Google earth, task 2.3;

  • standardization of small-scale-fisheries historical database along the coast. These data come from different sources and different formats 2.3.

  • Support of Latifa Pelage (PhD student, UFRPE) and data processing and writing of the paper: Pelage, L., Domalain, G., Lira, A. S., Travassos, P., Frédou, T. 2019.
