Biography
Sébastien Thorin has a doctorate in marine ecology and has worked on coastal ecosystems at several research institutes (including the Université du Québec à Rimouski in Canada, the University of Rennes in France and the European Oceanographic Observatory in Monaco).
Since July 2001, he has been working at the environmental consultancy CREOCEAN, where he specializes in issues related to marine seafloor quality, integrated coastal zone management, ecological diagnostics, and impact assessments.
A specialist in benthic invertebrates as well as a professional diver, he participates in many sub-marine fauna inventories in Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic. He is currently responsible for research and development at CREOCEAN as well as Director of Mediterranean and tropical marine environments.
