COMNAP Antarctic Fellowships¶
The COMNAP And IAATO Antarctic Fellowships 2022 Is Now OPEN.
The Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs (COMNAP), the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO) and the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) work together to support talented early-career researchers, scientists, engineers, environmental managers, and other professionals. The purpose is to strengthen international capacity and cooperation in fields such as climate, biodiversity, conservation, humanities and astrophysics research by providing annual funding opportunities. Read the Announcement of Opportunity 2022 here.
For the COMNAP and the IAATO Fellowships, all completed applications must be submitted and received by the deadline of 30 June 2022.

Vous etes encourages a y repondre si cette initiative vous interesse. Les informations qui seront recueillies permettront en effet d'evaluer le besoin et les modalites operationnelles relatifs a ces brise-glaces et d'envisager la suite a donner au projet ARICE.

We are looking for information on how we can improve transnational access to research icebreakers. These are often operated as national assets and different operators have different pathways to involve foreign scientists. However Arctic research could benefit from easier and broader access to the few research icebreakers in operation. How to facilitate this?
Please share your expereince and suggestions on how this goal can be met. This follows a workshop that took place during ASSW 2021 organised by FARO, INTERACT, APECS and ARICE.

Axe Polaire Transverse IUEM: the second EU-PolarNet 2 Service Call is open!
Dear Colleagues,
EU-PolarNet2 has just opened another service call that might be of interest to European early-career researchers with an institutional affiliation in Europe.
In particular, Research Need 3 (Resilient Socio-Ecological Systems), with one of its research foci on “Ecosystem-based management, governance and transformative solutions toward a sustainable future” (see Integrated European Polar Research Programme):
The second EU-PolarNet 2 Service Call is open!¶
Through the Service Calls, EU-PolarNet 2 is seeking support from the European research community to develop ideas for concrete research activities for the research needs defined in the Integrated European Polar Research Programme (EPRP). The funded Service Contract will support EU-PolarNet 2 in research prioritisation and propose topics for future research funding.
