Getting to the Lemar

Director’s introduction
The LEMAR Marine Environmental Sciences Laboratory brings together biologists, chemists and physicists with the objectives of understanding and modelling marine systems of the biosphere, defining characteristics of organisms and their environment and making detailed descriptions of their interactions. A strong multidisiplinary approach is essential for the study of a field as complex as the interactions between diverse components of the marine world. The LEMAR research unit, therefore, has an interdisciplinary policy, based on strong skills in different disciplines, which is in put into practice in the everyday scientific activities of the unit.
